Flat Dues payments are due monthly or quarterly but always in advance. Failure to pay dues withing two (2) months shall result in automatic suspension from membership and a reinstatement fee will be due.

MI construction industry responds to high number of worker suicides

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration reported that in 2022, the industry saw 6,000 worker suicides, compared with 1,000 construction-related deaths in the workplace. People in construction trades can face job and financial insecurities, long hours and difficult working conditions.

The repeal of the Michigan Right to Work Acts, effective Feb. 13, 2024 Under 2023 PA 8, employees in private sector unionized workplaces no longer have a statutory right to opt out of union membership or refrain from paying union dues or fees as a condition of employment.
